Word of the Actor

Firstly, I’ve handed Word of the Actor over to Tushar to administrate & coordinate. I will still be“behind the scenes”, so to speak, and actively involved in Word, but I’m involved in another new initiative (see below!) & believe that Word will be safe in Tushar’s hands. Our sessions will go on as normal, and I am very appreciative of all our lovely Directors who continue to work with us, and are so much a part of our community. I strongly encourage all us Actors to continue to work on our acting muscle, and come regularly for scene work.

Word Films

As mentioned above, I’m involved in a new initiative, which you may have heard of - Word Films.

Why form Word Films?
Creating our own opportunities. Utilizing our talents. Telling stories. Expressing creativity. Using what we have to STEP OUT & CREATE!

We aim to create a new short film every month. Instead of waiting around for a chance to use our abilities, we create our own chances. Our aim is to create high-quality works, which showcase our various talents. This ensures that we continue to develop our individual abilities. We also get the opportunity to work together with others to create new works & tell new stories, as well as to develop contacts with both crew & cast in the industry.

Whether you are a director, assistant producer, production manager, director of photography, camera operator, sound mixer, key grip, art director, props masters, make-up artists/stylist, scriptwriter, editor, music supervisor or actor, we welcome your participation. If you have prior experience, send an email to word.films.sg@gmail.com with your detailed experience, as well as your particular areas of expertise & what resources/equipments you can bring into our projects. You are not required to participate in every project, only those that you are available for. But once you commit to a particular project, we ask that you respect that commitment.

Your individual creativity & experience will expand. You will get to work together with like-minded individuals with the passion to create stories on film. You will be able to tell the stories you want to tell. Together, let us STEP OUT & CREATE.

“CUBIK” Gala Premiere

Now for a bit of (shameless) self-promotion. I’m starring in “CUBIK”, a 32-minute crime drama, together with other actors from our Word community, including Simon Wong & Victor Lin.
